Transit Driver (Part-Time)
FUEL SYSTEM TECHNICIAN
Bangor International Airport is currently seeking applicants to fill the full-time position of Fuel System Technician. Responsibilities include assisting with receipt, storage and transfer of all aviation fuels on the premises; taking fuel samples and conducting field tests to assure that all fuel received meets regulatory standards; maintaining all fuel systems at the facility and performing any corrective actions needed; and occasionally assisting with the design and installation of various fuel equipment components. Requirements include working knowledge of aviation fuel operations and procedures; extensive experience in quality assurance methods and activities of maintenance practices; and working knowledge of all quality standards and safety regulations concerning aviation fuel. This is a full time, 40 hours per week, position with a salary range of $16.37 to 22.00 per hour. A comprehensive fringe benefits package is included. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The Assistant Director of Community Development assists the Director in overseeing all Division operations, including revenue and expenditure activities, employee supervision and evaluation, and coordination of all Division activities. Responsibilities include
- Assessing developmental and housing needs of the community and devising and implementing plans and programs to address them.
- Developing and managing Federal, State and locally funded housing, revitalization and development programs to address the needs of low and moderate-income individuals of the community.
- Preparing and submitting Federal and State grant applications and developing other resources to promote affordable housing initiatives.
- Accounting and reporting to the U.S. Department of HUD for all Community Development funds and activities.
Minimum requirements: Undergraduate degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration or related field and related experience and/or training. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of budgeting and grant writing, and the ability to administer division budget and grant monies; an understanding of Federal grants and related programs; and a working knowledge of and ability to apply Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to administering various community development programs and projects. POLICE OFFICER
The City of Bangor (population 31,756) is accepting applications for immediate openings establish for the position of Police Officer. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and good mental and physical condition. Preference will be given to post secondary education, law enforcement experience and/or military experience. Applicants must meet age requirements as established by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and successfully pass a written test, physical agility test (MCJA standards), oral board, background investigation, psychological, polygraph and medical examinations. The starting salary range is $673.00 - $784.00 for a 40 hour work week, depending on experience. A new state-of-the-art police station has just been built and occupied. The City of Bangor’s Health & Community Services Department, Travel and Immunization Division, is seeking RN’s to work on a rotating schedule one evening and two to three mornings per month in addition to any specialty clinics that may be scheduled. Responsibilities include preparing for and cleaning up after clinics, reviewing immunization records, patient education, administering vaccines, and accurate record keeping. The successful applicants must be able to work flexible hours depending on clinic scheduling and be willing to work emergency care as needed. Possession of a current RN license and CPR certification is mandatory.
