How to Report Illicit Dumping into Streams, Brooks and Other Bodies of Water

Please contact the City of Bangor at 992-4243. You can remain anonymous when reporting suspicious acts and illegal dumping into any stream, brook, roadside ditch, drainage swale, wetland, or any other body of water.

It is illegal to dump anything into a water body, including a storm drain, including (but not limited to) the following items:

• gasoline
• lead batteries
• mercury-containing devices
• paint
• wet cement
• pet waste
• soap suds from car washing
