Community Connector Transit/Paratransit Drivers

The City of Bangor is seeking applicants for fixed route transit drivers and paratransit positions to fill immediate vacancies. We are looking for people who love to drive and want to help their community by joining our team of great driving professionals to serve Bangor and surrounding communities with safe, reliable transportation options.

In this position, you will be guaranteed 30 hours per week and have options to earn overtime on a regular basis!  The starting pay range for this position is $19.26 to $22.31 per hour based on experience with a negotiated increase on June 30, 2024.

Applicants must have an active Class B license and a clean driving record. Preference is given to candidates who also have a Passenger or "P" endorsement, but the City may provide paid training to applicants with a Class B, but who do not have a "P" endorsement.  Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule and enjoy working with the public. Pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required. Successful applicants will be subject to further testing in accordance with federal F.T.A. regulations.
