The City of Bangor requests proposals for the acquisition and rehabilitation of a property located at 450 Ohio Street, Bangor, ME. The property consists of a single family home on a lot with approximately 55 feet of frontage and has a total lot area of approximately 9,053 square feet or 0.21 acre. The building is dilapidated and needs rehabilitation.

 Waterfront Walkway Project

The project includes replacing an existing gravel walkway along the waterfront with an 8’ wide paved walkway and new concrete block gravity wall, rail and rip rap stabilization along with new lights, and park benches. A portion of the project also includes the construction of a new 6’ wide sidewalk along a portion of Front Street to connect the waterfront walkway to Front Street, along with new ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, new curbing and pedestrian crossings, which includes a crossing across railroad tracks owned by PanAm Railways.

ADA Complementary Paratransit Service

The City of Bangor requests sealed proposals from qualified businesses and/or DBE firms to provide ADA Complementary Paratransit Service, to include only purchase transportation.

As required by Federal regulations, Circular FTA C 4710.1- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public entities operating fixed route transit must provide complementary paratransit to persons with disabilities who are unable to use the regular fixed route system. Complementary Paratransit is a separate and district program from State-based MaineCare non-emergency transportation program.

Contractor will provide personnel, vehicles, fuel, and maintenance services and related equipment, supplies and facilities for provision of this service to the public.
