Citizens Police Academy – OCTOBER 2023 CLASS FULL

This 9-week program will consist of one class every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Most classes will be held at the Bangor Police Department located at 240 Main Street, with some offsite visits written into the course syllabus. All instructors are experienced members of law enforcement or working professionals from the Bangor area so feel free to ask questions! Some class topics will include:

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS
K9 DEMONSTRATION
COMMUNITY SERVICES
EVIDENCE RESPONSE
SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM (SWAT)
BOMB SQUAD
The Citizens Police Academy is designed to give participants a general overview of how our department functions and how we investigate and respond to various types of complaints. Class size is limited and will be filled on a first-come basis. Participants will not be trained as police officers. There is no cost to attend.
