Temporary Laborers - City of Bangor Sewer Department
Airline Service Agents (Ramp) - Part Time
On Call Nutrition Counselor or Nutritionist
Transit Driver - The BAT
The City of Bangor Sewer Department is seeking temporary laborers for its’ summer maintenance crews. Duties include maintenance and repair work to sewers and structures. These are seasonal positions working approximately 40 hours per week beginning immediately and ending no later than November 2007. The pay rate is $8.00 per hour and requires a Maine Class “C” driver’s license. Any knowledge or prior use of machinery is a plus and some heavy lifting is required. Airline Service Agents (Ramp) – Part-Time
You have the opportunity to join the airport team and begin an exciting career in the aviation industry! Bangor International Airport needs highly motivated, responsible and enthusiastic individuals for part-time Airline Service Agents. This is a great opportunity for college students!
Potential candidates should be comfortable working with the public. Performs duties according to general and specialized instructions from supervisors and Federal Regulations. Moderate to heavy physical exertion is required. Scheduled hours are available, with guaranteed call-in times offered. The salary scale is $9.27 - $11.27 per hour.
These positions require the candidate to pass a fingerprint based criminal history check. Bangor International Airport complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) drug and alcohol testing policy. A valid State of Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

The City of Bangor is seeking to fill a full-time Public Safety Dispatcher position. This position requires working in a fast paced telecommunication center answering business and emergency calls and dispatching appropriate police, fire or other emergency response personnel. The applicant will participate in an oral interview, must be in good health, pass a background check and polygraph examination and participate in an interview with the Chief of Police The successful applicant will become familiar with computer-based dispatching systems. Training will be provided to the successful candidate to become EMD, CTO and E911 certified. The position involves shift work with some required overtime. This is an opportunity for a self-motivated and dedicated individual to join a professional communication staff in a modern dispatching environment. Starting pay is $12.93 per hour and includes a complete comprehensive benefits package. Increases to the current pay scale are anticipated with the signing of a new collective bargaining agreement. ON CALL NUTRITION COUNSELOR OR NUTRITIONIST
The City of Bangor is currently seeking applicants for on-call Nutrition Counselors or Nutritionists to work in the WIC Nutrition Program. The position requires an Associates Degree in a health related field or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition.
Work will include performing nutrition/health assessments of women, infants and children and providing nutrition education and counseling to young families. Previous WIC experience required.
Work hours may range from 7 ½ hours to 30 hours per week. Pay range is $16.87 to $22.67 per hour.

TRANSIT DRIVER (PART-TIME)
The City of Bangor is seeking applicants for a part-time transit driver. Applicants must have an active Class B license with P endorsement and air brakes, as well as a minimum one-year of experience with a clean driving record. Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule and enjoy working with the public. Pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required. Successful applicants will be subject to further testing in accordance with federal F.T.A. regulations. This position will be approximately 30+ hours per week with a starting pay rate of $12.49 per hour. Earned Time Off, a 401A retirement plan and special holiday pay provided.
