Public Safety: Fire, Adult Level Classes
Fire Extinguisher Level I Class --
Students learn how to safely and effectively extinguish fires with portable fire extinguishers. This class and the Level II class meet or exceed OSHA requirements for fire extinguisher training in the workplace. This class is classroom-only.Time: 1 1/2 hours. Cost: $75 per class (max. 25 students)

Level II Class --
In the Level II Class the same topics are taught as the Level I Class but in greater detail. In addition, students go out to the Training Facility and use fire extinguishers on several different types of fires.Time: 2 1/2 hours. Cost: $100 per class (max. 25 students) plus the costs of recharging the extinguishers

The Fire Prevention Bureau can assist in developing an evacuation plan. If you have questions about where to start on your evacuation plan or simply would like your evacuation plan reviewed call for a free consultation or e-mail the plan.
