Public Safety: Fire, Youth Level Classes

Youth Programs

We offer a variety of programs designed to inform, educate and entertain our youngest citizens.

SparkySparky --

Sparky, the National Fire Protection Association's loyal mascot and spokes-"dog" for fire prevention is a favorite of many children. Sparky often visits with children at local safety fairs and special events.

Smoke House--

Children enjoy learning how to stay low in smoke with the smoke house which is used for field days and various special events. The smoke house is on loan from the Holden Fire Department.

Juvenile Firesetter Program --

If your child has played with fire, matches, lighters or set a fire intentionally and you're uncomfortable or unsure how to talk to your child, the Fire Prevention Bureau can help. This program works with parents and children after a child has displayed a fire-setting behavior.
