Councilor Ben Sprague
Ben Sprague was born and raised in Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in 2002. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Harvard University in 2006, Ben worked for the Boston Red Sox for three years and also taught high school diploma, career development, and computer classes. Ben then returned to Bangor to work as a financial advisor with Means Investment Company. Ben has organized various service projects over the years, including the “Our Backs to Theirs” clothing drive and a voter registration drive that was recognized by MTV’s Rock the Vote campaign. Ben ran the Boston Marathon for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in 2007 and 2008. Today he sits on the Board of Directors of the Maine Youth Leadership Organization, is a member of the Bangor Rotary, and attends All Souls Congregational Church. Ben lives in downtown Bangor.
Councilor Sprague is the Chair of the Business & Economic Development Committee and serves on the Infrastructure and Finance Committees. Councilor Sprague is the liaison to the Parks, Recreation and Harbor Advisory Committee and the Public Health Advisory Board.
