8/15/2014 - Hard Hat Happy Hour to Support West Market Square Businesses

Raise a glass to supporting local businesses! The Downtown
Bangor Partnership is hosting a Hard Hat Happy Hour series in support of
West Market Square businesses during the final months of construction.
The business owners and their employees have been patient as the City of
Bangor does necessary construction in West Market Square and we want to
show our appreciation! Each Wednesday, August 13 through September 3
from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the series will rotate to a different restaurant
or bar in West Market Square. Gift certificates to local businesses and
parking passes will be raffled off each week.
Schedule of Hard Hat Happy Hour locations:
August 13 – Ipanema Bar & Grill (10 Broad Street)
August 20 – Blaze (18 Broad Street)
August 27 – The Big Easy Lounge (24 Broad Street)
September 3 – Paddy Murphy’s (26 Main Street)
The
revitalization of West Market Square is a joint effort between the City
of Bangor and the utility companies that began in April 2014 and is
scheduled for completion in late September. The project scope includes
replacement of pre-Civil War water and sewer infrastructure and
upgrading electrical services as well as enhancing the accessibility and
aesthetics of the Square.
The Downtown Bangor Partnership
promotes and markets activities that enhance the distinctive identity of
Downtown Bangor, encouraging retention and growth of commercial,
residential, and cultural life within the downtown district. For more
