TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW!

BANGOR, ME – The City of Bangor and Spectra Venue Management are proud to announce that the in-house-produced event, Maine Harvest Festival will be held at the Cross Insurance Center this weekend.  The fifth annual, two day festival, will take place Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th 10 AM to 4 PM both days. With a recent nomination and ranking at #5 by USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Award for “Best Harvest Festival” in the country, festival veterans and newcomers can expect the best festival yet as the event has expanded into the entire facility, with over 150 Maine farmers, artisans, and producers showcasing an array of local foods, beverages, products, and more.

Admission into the festival is $8 per person, children 12 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the door or avoid the lines and purchase in advance at Ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000 or at the Cross Insurance Center Box Office located at 515 Main St. Monday-Friday from 10 AM-5 PM.

In addition to shopping and sampling, this year the Maine Harvest Festival features a Fiber Fashion Show, three new categories added to the Pie Judging Contest, and ‘Our Story’ – stories brought to you by the Maine farmers, processors and artisans at the festival. By popular demand, this year will feature an expanded wine, brewery, and distillery sampling area, live music, cooking demonstrations, educational seminars, and the coveted Dunnett’s Stove Drawing.

Spectra Venue Management’s Joe Imbriaco, Cross Insurance Center General Manager, stated “Going into our fifth year hosting the Maine Harvest Festival, we are so proud of how the festival has grown, not just in scale but in reputation. Not only are we recognized by our community through their attendance and support, but it is a great sentiment being nominated as a contender for the Top 10 best Fall Harvest Festivals in the country. The festival has its own unique Maine brand and authentic feeling, which I believe has propelled it to being one of the best in the country.”

Festival shopping bags will be provided by St. Joseph Healthcare, but organizers stress the importance of bringing a cooler or a thermal insulated bag/container for transporting temperature-sensitive purchases and/or a large sturdy bag for heavier fragile items.
