The Bangor Police Department will be holding its next Community Police Academy, beginning Tuesday, October 4th, 2016. This 10 week program will consist of one class each Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the police department, 240 Main Street, Bangor. All instructors are experienced members of law enforcement. SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM (SWAT)

There is no cost to attend. The Community Police Academy is designed to give a working knowledge of the operations of the Bangor Police Department. Participants will not be trained as police officers. Class size is limited and will be filled on a first-come basis. All applicants are subject to a background check. Applicants with felony convictions or a significant criminal history will not be accepted.
