All Community Connector Bus Rides Are Free on Tuesday, November 22
The City of Bangor is pleased to announce that all Community Connector bus rides are free, system-wide, on Tuesday, November 22. The free bus fare day on November 22 follows the success of the free fare offered this past Election Day, during which there were 528 additional rides compared to Election Day 2015. In total, 4,026 rides took place during the free fare day on Tuesday, November 8. On average, there were 3,000 rides on Tuesdays from July to October 2016.
The free Community Connector bus rides are part of the promotion of November as ‘Ride the Bus Month’ in Bangor. The goal of ‘Ride the Bus Month’ is to increase bus ridership and public awareness of the Community Connector as a provider of low-cost, safe, and reliable public transportation services in the Greater Bangor area.
