City of Bangor’s Housing Work Group to Present Final Report and Recommendations to City Council on April 8

BANGOR, MAINE – The City of Bangor’s Housing Work Group, comprised of a broad group of stakeholders including residents, landlords, businesses, and social service agencies, will present their final report and recommendations to Bangor City Council during a pre-council work session on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 5:15pm.

The Housing Work Group convened in 2018 to explore the City’s housing challenges using data and research into best practices. Residents of Bangor often face issues of affordability and quality in their search for housing. Bangor’s work group used a thorough process of collecting data and input before considering recommendations for both the public and private sectors. Recommendations will be presented to the City Council for their consideration during Monday’s pre-council session, and next steps will be discussed as well.

The full report, including data and recommendations, can be found on the City’s website at www.bangormaine.gov/housing.
