11/12/2014 - Results from the Sucker Brook Stream Corridor and Watershed Survey are now available
The City of Bangor is pleased to announce that the results from the Sucker Brook Stream Corridor and Watershed Survey are now available on the City’s website and social media outlets.

Sucker Brook is a small stream that flows from Bangor (near the airport) through Hampden to the Penobscot River, and is on a Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s list of impaired water bodies. In 2013 and 2014 the City of Bangor, in conjunction with the Town of Hampden, conducted a watershed survey to evaluate Sucker Brook to identify the sources of pollutants. Grant funding to complete this project was awarded by US Environmental Protection Agency.

Interested parties, including residents and businesses of Hampden and Bangor, are encouraged to review and download the report. For additional information or inquiries, please contact the City of Bangor’s Environmental Coordinator, Wynne Guglielmo at (207) 992-4255 or wynne.guglielmo@bangormaine.gov.The report may be found on the City’s website: http://www.bangormaine.gov/sucker-brook
