Councilor Susan Hawes

Born and raised in Bangor, Susan Hawes lives on Buck Street with her husband, Alan. She is employed by Beal University as Dean of Education and Allied Health Program Director. She teaches in the Medical Assisting program and the Health Information Technology program. 

Past professional experience includes: retail, advertising, and strategic planning, and has also served in the U.S. Army.

She is President of the Maine School Board Association and Immediate Past President of the American Association of Medical Assistants.
