CDL B TRAINING PROGRAM

The City of Bangor is currently accepting applications for future openings in the City's CDL B Training Program.  This program is intended for individuals interested in working as a Transit Driver with the Community Connector. A future opportunity with Public Works, in addition to transit, is expected to occur in the future.

 Highlights of the program include:

• Earn pay and benefits while you learn!

• Paid classroom instruction with qualified trainers and on-the-road instruction in the actual vehicles you will be driving in City employment (e.g., City buses)

• Shadowing of experienced City employees

• Access to qualified instructors, vehicles, and support for testing (including paid testing fees)

• Employment with the City once you successfully obtain your CDL B and required endorsements with a robust benefit package including paid time off, health insurance paid up to 80% with low deductible options, and retirement plan with employer contribution
