Citizens' Police Academy - Classes currently suspended due to COVID-19.

This 10-week program will consist of one class every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All classes will be held at the Bangor Police Department located at 240 Main Street. All instructors are experienced members of law enforcement so feel free to ask questions! Some class topics will include:

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS

K9 DEMONSTRATION

DRUG ENFORCEMENT

CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION

SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM (SWAT)

BOMB SQUAD

OUI ENFORCEMENT

The Citizens Police Academy is designed to give participants a general overview of how our department functions and how we investigate and respond to various types of complaints. Class size is limited and will be filled on a first-come basis. Participants will not be trained as police officers. There is no cost to attend.
