9/28/2016 - Bangor Health & Community Services to Host “Meet a Farmer Day” on Friday, September 30th
The City of Bangor Health & Community Services department is pleased to announce that it will be hosting “Meet a Farmer Day” on Friday, September 30th from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the WIC offices located at 103 Texas Avenue in Bangor. The participating farmer, from Rollins Orchards, will have a number of items for sale, including a good assortment of apples and fall vegetables, cider, milk, meat, eggs and maple syrup.

Those currently enrolled in the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) program can use their WIC vouchers to pay for items. The farmer also accepts cash, check, credit and debit cards for those that do not participate in the supplemental nutrition program. The Hammond Street route on the Community Connector can bring those interested in attending the event with stops every half hour.

For more information, please contact Amanda Junkins, a WIC Nutritionist for Bangor Health & Community Services at 992-4565 or by emailing amanda.junkins@bangormaine.gov.
