10/28/2016 - TRAFFIC ALERT for Friday, Oct 28 - Cross Insurance Center Events

A BUSY FRIDAY NIGHT AHEAD AT THE CROSS INSURANCE CENTER IN BANGOR
WITH 2 LARGE EVENTS, CROSS INSURANCE CENTER STAFF SUGGESTS LEAVING EXTRA TIME TO ARRIVE

BANGOR, ME – This Friday, October 28th, will be a very busy night at the Cross Insurance Center and in the downtown Bangor area as Cross Insurance Center will host 2 large events at the venue; ‘I Love the 90s Tour’ concert in the arena and the Maine State Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting in the convention center. With approximately 7,000 expected patrons in the venue, Spectra Venue Management, managers of the Cross Insurance Center are informing the public and its patrons that in addition to the normal bustle of downtown Bangor, it is suggested that if you are attending an event at the facility Friday, due to expected volume, to leave plenty of extra time to arrive, find parking and get to your event by their designated start times.

With two overlapping events taking place, it is possible that patrons may experience traffic flow issues and congestion when arriving and parking. When possible, it is also suggested to use I-395 to try and avoid some of the congestion of downtown.

There will be limited day-of paid parking available in the Cross Insurance Center lots off of Buck Street and Bass Park Boulevard as well as complimentary parking in the upper Track Parking Lot. All Cross Insurance Center parking lots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  It is also suggested to find alternative parking in Bangor’s downtown, carpool or use other forms of arrival such as taxis.

Patrons attending the I Love the 90s concert are directed to enter through the upper Southwest Entrance of the venue, doors will open at 7pm. Patrons attending the State Chamber Annual Meeting are directed to enter through the Rotunda Entrance of the venue on the corner of Buck Street and Main Street.

Cross Insurance Center staff extends their appreciation for the cooperation and patience.
