TRAFFIC ALERTS for the week of November 4 - November 11, 2016

  1. Bangor Water District water main replacement on Broadway from Center St to Husson Ave. For information please call 207-355-4395

    For the next couple of weeks Bangor Water will be milling and paving trenches. Most work will be night work from 6pm to 6am maintaining one in bound lane and one outbound lane of traffic. There may be detours for this work. Expect delays and use alternate routes if possible. Please watch for directions from signs and flaggers.

  2. Sewer repairs on Center Street at Broadway. For information please call 949-0425. Work continues on Center St near Broadway. Inbound traffic may be detoured on Poplar St. At least 1 lane of traffic will be maintained.  Please follow directions from flaggers and signs.
  3. City of Bangor Middle, Cross, Columbia and Main Streets sewer replacement-For information please call 207- 356-4031

    Beginning Sunday November 6 at 6am, 2016 work will begin to replace sewer lines on Main Street at Cross Street. Inbound motorists on Main Street can expect to be detoured down Water Street to Washington Street and Exchange Street. Cross Street, from Main Street to Columbia Street will be closed to traffic. On street parking may be restricted on both Main Street and Cross street..  This is a very congested area of the city and thru traffic on Main Street and Cross Street should seek an alternate route. Businesses are open and accommodations will be made for access to them. Please follow directions from signs and flaggers.

  4. Stillwater I95 overpass work for information please call 941-4500. The Maine Department of Transportation will be working on the I 95 over pass at Stillwater Avenue for the next 3 months or so. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained using lane shifts and minimal effect on traffic is anticipated. Work will begin at 2am Wednesday November 9, 2016 with installation of barriers and re-painting the Stillwater Avenue for the lane shifts.
