We are deeply saddened by the passing of former City Councilor Patricia Blanchette. Councilor Blanchette was active in Bangor politics for over 30 years. During this time, she served as a Bangor City Councilor, Bangor City Council Chair, County Treasurer and State Representative.
Pat worked tirelessly for the citizens of Bangor and consistently represented all her constituents with great passion and conviction. All who worked with Pat recognized and appreciated her deep commitment to community and her straight forward style.
Council Chair Baldacci shared the following thoughts "Pat loved Bangor and she loved helping people. She was outspoken and opinionated and none of us wanted her to be any different. Pat is now in heaven with her beloved husband Jim."
A memorial service is planned for Sunday, December 4 at 1 PM in the City Council Chambers. All are welcome to attend. For information regarding the memorial service, contact Gerry Palmer at 944-8000.
