Parks & Rec to Set Up Cooling Station on Bangor Waterfront Tomorrow, Saturday, July 20th

BANGOR, MAINE – In anticipation of tomorrow’s high temperatures and humidity, the City of Bangor’s Parks & Recreation department will set up a temporary cooling area on the Bangor Waterfront.

The cooling area will be available to the public on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 12noon to 5pm. It will be stationed in a grass area near the flagpole at the corner of the Waterfront bulkhead. Sprinklers will be running during the afternoon.

The City’s public swimming pools are also open tomorrow from 1pm to 4:30pm. The Beth Pancoe Aquatic Center is located on 13th Street, and the Dakin Pool is located at the end of Pine Street just off Stillwater Avenue.
