5/21/2020 - City of Bangor Parking Enforcement Resumes June 1st

City of Bangor Parking Enforcement Resumes June 1st

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Bangor suspended enforcement of most downtown parking regulations for a time, as many businesses were closed. As part of the City's ongoing commitment to small business, we will resume regular parking enforcement on June 1, 2020 to ensure customers and clients can access businesses as they begin to reopen. The City also created special parking spaces for businesses that requested them to assist with curbside/delivery operations; these remain in effect. We ask that all downtown parkers adhere to the limit on the 15-minute courtesy spaces, so we can support our small business community.

As parking enforcement resumes, the 120-day grace period will restart, meaning that if you have an overtime violation after June 1, you will receive a courtesy warning first. After that violation, another offense will lead to a ticket. The Kenduskeag West lot remains open and free for all day and night parking, particularly for those who are isolating or ill. This lot is located behind the Pickering Square Garage. Otherwise, monthly permit and pay-by-space lots can be found at www.parkbangor.com
