City of Bangor to hold Primary and Special Municipal Election


BANGOR, Maine - The City of Bangor Primary and Special Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The polling place for all Bangor voters is the Cross Insurance Center located at 515 Main Street. Voters should enter via the Southwest Entrance off Buck Street.

Polls will be open on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Bangor voters will be casting a ballot for election of one member to the City Council. In addition, voters enrolled in the Democratic or Republican Party will also cast a State Primary ballot.

Citizens registering to vote must provide proof of identity as well as residency. If a current registered Bangor voter has moved within the city, please bring proof of the new resident address to update the voter record.

Early absentee voting is taking place Monday, June 6th through Thursday, June 9th, at the Cross Insurance Center from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Thursday, June 9th.
