8/2/2023 - Notice of Road Closure for Finson Road Construction

Notice of Road Closure for Finson Road Reconstruction

Beginning on August 8, 2023, Finson Road will be closed to through traffic between the properties of 726 Finson Road and 830 Finson Road for roadway reconstruction. CA Strout & Sons is completing the reconstruction of a portion of Finson Road to widen the roadway to include 11’ travel lanes with 5 foot paved shoulders in each direction. The roadway work will also include significant changes to the roadway grade to reduce the crest vertical curve (roadway hump) near the Strout Gravel Pit.

Motorists wishing to access Finson Road will be required to utilize signed detours along Davis Road and Ohio Street. The project is expected to take 6 weeks. Should you have any questions concerning the project, please call the Bangor City Engineering Department at 942-4249.
