Mission Statement

The mission of Public Works is to provide the citizens of Bangor with ongoing and seasonally appropriate operation and maintenance programs on an extensive network of municipal service systems.  These include drainage infrastructure, municipal streets and sidewalks, highway arterials, and bridges; providing for an orderly and efficient flow of motor vehicles through modern signalization systems, traffic delineation, street identifications, informational signage, construction, and winter road maintenance.
